Etekcity Infrared Thermometer for grill, RV and home use
This versatile point-and-click infrared thermometer has uses inside the RV (or home) and out, especially now that grilling and barbecue season is upon us.
Certain grilling techniques require temperature monitoring, especially low-and-slow smoking, or high-temperature pizza making, in addition to a host of other outdoor and indoor cooking tasks.
With this thermometer all you do is point, click the button, or hold and scan if you want the overall temp of an area, say a cooking surface, and you get an instant read of the temperature. It’s quick, easy and, at least so far, seems to be accurate. (I will admit it is a relatively new outdoor cooking accessory to me as I write this, so I cannot speak to longevity.)
What I especially like about the Etekcity Infrared Thermometer

What can be improved?
While I have only been using this for a few weeks, I have done a lot of grilling and pizza-making in that time and so far I have no complaints. I have even used this thermometer to successfully temper chocolate.
One important note, and this is not an improvement as much as the nature of the beast when dealing with lasers: NEVER use this laser thermometer on humans or animals as the laser is potentially blinding!
