How To Setup Your KeySmart iPro

Getting Started

Hello, before you add keys to your KeySmart iPro let’s get it connected to the Apple Find My app.

  1. Quickly press and release the Find My button to turn on your KeySmart iPro.
  2. Open the Apple Find My app on your iOS device, tap the “+” and select “Add Other Item” from the menu.
  3. The KeySmart iPro will appear on screen.Tap to connect and set a custom name and icon for your keys.

Important!

Before using your KeySmart iPro for the first time, make sure to fully charge the battery. While charging, the indicator light will be orange. When the battery is fully charged, the indicator light will be green.

How To Use The Flashlight

Press the Flashlight button to turn on and release to turn off. Double-click the Flashlight button to turn on the flashlight for 10 seconds. The flashlight will turn off automatically if pressed for more than 3 minutes to preserve battery life.

Features of the Apple Find My app

KeySmart iPro is a special edition that works exclusively with the Apple Find My network. The Apple Find My network provides an easy, secure way to locate compatible personal items on a map using the Find My app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac. Simply pair your compatible product with the Apple Find My app to view it right alongside your Apple devices. If your item ever goes missing, you can put it in Lost Mode to display a message and contact information to anyone who might find it.

Important!

If you do not receive the "Left Behind" notifications, follow these instructions:

  1. Open the "Settings" app on your iPhone. Tap on your name & photo at the top.
  2. On the next screen, tap the "Find My" settings.
  3. Check to make sure "My Location" in the Find My settings says "This Device". If it doesn't, tap on the menu item to change your location to be set from the iPhone you are using.

How to Enable or Disable the Apple Find My network

If you would like to disable your KeySmart iPro from accessing the Find My network, follow the steps below.

  1. To power on, press the Find My button once. The iPro will play a tune to indicate it is powered on.
  2. To disable the Find My network, press and hold the Find My button for 3 seconds. The iPro will beep twice to confirm the Find My network has been disabled.

How to Perform a Factory Reset

If you would like to unpair your KeySmart iPro from your Find My account so that it can be paired to a different Find My account, follow the steps below.

  1. On the KeySmart iPro, press the Find My button 4 times in quick succession and hold the button on the 5th press.
  2. The KeySmart iPro will play a tune and perform the factory reset.

How To Find The Serial Number

To find your device's serial number, follow the steps below.

  1. Via Bluetooth
    1. Press the Find My button 2 times. The KeySmart iPro will play a tune to confirm the serial number can be found via bluetooth.
  2. On the device:
    1. Disassemble the KeySmart iPro. The serial number is printed on the underside of the plate.

    Requirements For Using the Find My App

    To use the Find My app to locate this item, the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS is recommended. The Find Items app on Apple Watch requires the latest version of watchOS.

    The Apple Find My network uses advanced encryption to ensure that no one else, not even Apple or KeySmart can view the location of your KeySmart iPro.

    Use And Care

    The KeySmart iPro is water-resistant but not waterproof. We encourage you to bring your KeySmart iPro along on most of your wild adventures, but deep-sea explorations (and the like) are not recommended. It is not recommended that you expose the KeySmart iPro to extreme hot or cold temperatures.
